BRINGING FAULT DETECTION & DIAGNOSIS INTO THE MAINSTREAM
The goal of the project is to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility and environmental impacts of Automated Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) Tools and Technologies for retro commissioning and continuous commissioning of HVAC-R systems.
The project will span 3 years and the team will evaluate FDD technologies at several sites in Connecticut. The study will evaluate the value proposition, market barriers, technical capabilities, installation and support processes, and energy savings. The project team will produce training and education materials to expand the use of FDD technology.
